The Foundation of Experience
Abel E. Reynoso began his career in the late 1970s as a uniformed police officer with the City of Los Angeles. He was later assigned to the LAPD Narcotics Unit as an undercover officer. In the mid‑1980s, at the height of the Drug War, he joined the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). During his tenure with the DEA, he worked around the world as an undercover special agent, with a particular focus on Latin America. He was eventually promoted to Country Attaché at a U.S. Embassy in Latin America. After the events of 9/11, Mr. Reynoso joined the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Following his retirement, he has continued to advise and train law enforcement agencies throughout Latin America on topics including counter‑narcotics investigations, corruption, money laundering, complex criminal investigations, internal affairs, and executive law enforcement management and leadership.
