Abel E. Reynoso

Abel E. Reynoso began his law enforcement career in the late 1970s in Los Angeles as a uniformed police officer, later serving as an undercover narcotics officer. In the mid‑1980s, at the height of the drug wars and the era of the “cocaine cowboys,” Abel joined the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, working primarily undercover around the world, especially across Latin America. He was eventually promoted to Country Attaché at a U.S. embassy in the region. Immediately after 9/11, Abel joined the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, rising to a senior management position before his retirement. Since retiring, he has continued to consult for several U.S. agencies and has delivered hundreds of seminars on international law enforcement topics, including complex criminal investigations, corruption, internal affairs, and executive management.
